Senior Android Developer (Kotlin)

Vancouver & Remote • Pacific Time   |  Updated July 22, 2022

Steamclock is looking for a bright, enthusiastic technical leader here in Vancouver with experience shipping great Android apps. If you have a track record of shipping beautiful, high-quality products, we’d love to chat!

Steamclock is a profitable and growing studio in Gastown that makes very nice mobile software. Our focus is shipping great stuff, and building the company we want to work at. We make products for ourselves – such as a neat Mac utility for tracking issues and pull requests – and apps for interesting companies like Arc’teryx, WealthBar, and Mozilla.

We do want to make this a full time permanent hire, but if you’re an experienced freelance Kotlin contractor here in BC that is curious, we’d also be open to chatting about potential future Android contracting opportunities.

In this role we’re looking for somebody with strong native Android development skills, but who also has skills in technical, product, and/or people leadership. We value people over process, and your skills and perspective will help us bring our product work to the next level.

Salary for this role is likely to be in the $110-125k/yr range, plus our various benefits and perks.
